The S.GJ Design Studio, a 705 sq.ft. project, fuses modern minimalism with natural and rustic elements, based on the client's desire to blend indoor and outdoor aesthetics. The studio is integrated into a new extension of the client's country house, with expansive windows offering views of nature, eliminating the need for indoor greenery. The design emphasizes neutral tones, including whites and light beige, paired with darker modern elements like black and wood furniture. Organic materials like leather and wood textures are used throughout, while functionality is prioritized in spaces such as the open-concept designers' workspace, the senior designer’s office, and a showroom.
The layout flows naturally, with glass partitions to maintain a sense of openness and lightness. The floors feature light beige oak wood-look LV, while porcelain tiles bring durability and a clean aesthetic. Black recessed lighting fixtures are used to keep the lighting modern, and the entry area includes a luxurious statement chandelier to set a welcoming tone.
The combination of clean lines, neutral colours, wood, and modern black elements creates a functional, uncluttered, yet visually stimulating design. This project balances professional workspace needs with the tranquility of its rural surroundings, reflecting both the client’s design ethos and practical business requirements.
